Updated MAC Palette

Here is a quick look at my updated MAC eyeshadow palette:-

My favourites are Blanc Type and Dazzlelight. As you can see I like neutrals! Can you recommend what colours I get next? I have 4 slots remaining.

Nail Envy

Lately I have noticed that my nails seem a bit dry. I decided that I should re-purchase an old friend; OPI Nail Envy (£16.50 from Boots).

If you don't know what Nail Envy is, it is a nail strengthener, you apply 2 coats to your nails and then apply a further coat every other day (not removing the first coats) and continue like this for a week and then remove with nail varnish remover and start again.

/

Pretty simple, and it leaves a nice gloss to the nails if you wish to wear it alone, if not you can apply your base coat and varnish over the top.

/

I am hoping that it will make them stronger and less dry and brittle, I don't usually suffer with this but I am assuming that it has been caused by the sudden onset of cold weather.

New Haircare

Apologies for the slightly hair obsessed posts I have been inflicting on you this past week! My new haircare has arrived, and I wanted to share with you all.

Shampoo and Conditioner wise I bought Redken Blonde Glam. This stuff smells gorgeous!

.

Intensive Conditioner I bought Redken All Soft Heavy Cream, which I have heard very good things about.

And finally, the bits I showed you the other day Redken Extreme CAT Treatment and Colour Enhancer (which by the way is amazing!)

I will do full reviews and keep you updated!

Sunday Shopping

Today I went shopping and these were the bits I bought:-

Firstly I picked up some Redken hair bits, Extreme CAT Treatment which is a reconstructing protein treatment and some Blonde Glam Colour Enhancer in Platinum.

OPI polishes in Black Cherry Chutney and OPI Red.

/

In Boots I got some Batiste (thank you to all your comments on my second day styling post, this is to help!) Neutrogena Pure Glow Warming Scrub and a Comb for combing wet hair.

/

In Fenwicks I got my HG Eye Cream, Ren Active 7 Eye Maintenance Gel and some cute Cath Kidston makeup bags.

Non beauty product-wise I got some White Tea in Cherry Blossom and Chocolate Chai Tea and a Tea Strainer from Whittard. But I do hope that the White Tea will be good for the skin.

Second day styling...

Since my "hair raising" experience with bleach this week, I have come to the conclusion that perhaps I should try and wash my hair every other day instead of every day, which inevitably takes it's toll on the hair.

,

But, I am a little stuck with styles, I don't necessarily want people thinking I haven't washed my hair so I want a different style for day two, and also because my hair gets quite flat so needs re-styling.

,

MAC Haul

I had that Friday feeling yesterday and so I decided that it would be a good idea (lol!) to place a MAC order. These are the goodies that came this morning:-

Pink Swoon Sheertone Blusher; I had been debating between this and Well Dressed for a while now and this won, for the moment!

I can only describe it as a muted Barbie pink and I love it! I have been using Springsheen lately and it will be nice to get into more pinky colours.

Bare Canvas Paint; I had been watching the Kim Kardashian makeup videos and they used this as a primer for eyeshadow. It is supposed to hold colour on the lid without creasing for 16 hours I think, so this was a must have.

Select Moisturecover Concealer in NC20; I have had this in the past and loved it but for some reason was using other concealers. I noticed lately that my under eyes had been getting dry and so I thought I should buy some more of this, as I'm sure the Studio Finish isn't helping the drying factor.

It leaves quite a nice sheen to the skin, and doesn't cake. I have to get NC20 in this although I am NC15 in Studio Fix Fluid.

Feline Kohl Power; I only got this because of the hype surrounding it and I didn't want to get left out!



It's lovely and soft to use, so I hope that it lives up to my expectations.

Finally, I got some Lip Conditioner SPF15; I had been thinking about getting a tinted one, but without seeing the colours in the flesh I couldn't decide, so I thought I would get the plain version.

I love the scent, it smells just like the Lipglasses!

It also looks great on the lips, and feels really nice and moisturising.

What have your latest MAC purchases been?

My perfume collection

I saw a YT video the other day by allthatglitters21 (Elle) when she showed her perfume collection, which I thought was a really great idea, so in this post I am going to show you my own!

I am not overly good with fragrance descriptions, I find it easier to compare the scent to an everyday smell, I can't tell you what has jasmine in or undertones Persian tiger lily (!?) but I can describe it in general terms! Just to give you an idea of whether you may like some of the perfumes in my collection, here are my likes and dislikes:-

Likes; baby powder, plumeria, sweet pea, clean scents like laundry tablets, floral, apple and crisp light scents.

Dislikes; sandalwood, musk, patchouli, smokey or heavy scents and anything that gives me a headache basically!

I have quite a vast selection of perfumes so I will narrow it down to my favourites, and most worn.

Dementer - Baby Powder : What more can I say, this is pure Baby Powder in perfume form! I love the clean smell of this, and that I can smell shower fresh all day.

Nina Ricci - Nina : This is the summer version of the Nina perfume and I absolutely love it, I am not completely sure of the scent but it definitely has a crispy apple note to it and is quite fresh but with a sexy feminine touch. Perfect for day. Sadly this was Limited Edition this summer, but I am on the look out for a replacement, and possibly a few back ups!

Burberry - Summer (2006) : I say 2006 with this perfume because it first came onto the market in 2006, when I bought a huge bottle while on holiday. Again it was a Limited Edition (why do I do this to myself!) and I couldn't get it again. Then this year they brought it out again but it didn't smell the same, so after some frantic Internet browsing I found a website that still had the 2006 scent and bought 4! This is also a very fresh scent, quite powdery but still very clean smelling, with a slight floral note, and it also smells a bit like the sea!

Chloe by Chloe : This is definitely more of an evening perfume, it has the powdery clean scent that I like but with a little sexy twist. Very sophisticated and grown up.


Chanel - Allure : This is my ultimate grown up scent. It is quite heavy and is not a day perfume by any sense of the word but I like it for it's powdery, floralness, but controversially it is a little on the heavy side. It's not cheap either!
