My OPI Collection

.
First I will start with the lighter colours:-
.
.
Alpine Snow, which is a true white and quite opaque making it excellent for white tips on a french manicure.

Desire, this is not so opaque and I don't get as much use from it as Alpine Snow, it also has a little shimmer to it.

Coney Island Cotton Candy, I have a love / hate relationship with this as depending on whether I have a tan or not because it can lean towards looking like you have smokers nails!

Bubble Bath, this is by far my favourite neutral, it's a very light baby pink verging on cream. I always apply three coats of this to give me the desired opacity.

Hawaiian Orchid, again this is another colour that can look good depending on your skin colour, it's quite buildable but generally not very opaque.

Princesses Rule, this is the newest addition to my collection and it't a gorgeous light pink with pretty silver shimmer. It's a dream to apply, again I usually apply three coats.
.
.
Brights:-
.
Party in my Cabana, perfect for summer and looks better when I have a tan.
.
Ate Berries in the Canaries, this is one of my very favourite colours, it's like a pinky, magenta, purple and perfect for summer, although I have worn it quite a lot over the winter for a pop of colour.
.
Pamplona Purple, another fairly new polish for me and again great for summer. I can see this becoming a firm favourite.
.
Feeling Hot Hot Hot, lovely bright pink, very similar to Party in my Cabana, and I would say you definitely do not need both!
.
Done out in Deco, looks very pretty in the bottle, I am not so keen on it on my nails however.
.
.
Darks:-
.
You don't know Jacques, taupey grey which is very opaque. I have to be in the right mood to wear this.
.
My Private Jet, super pretty black with sparkles in. If I could choose a car paint, this would be it!
.
Russian Navy, a gorgeous true navy with beautiful shimmer. Yet to be worn but looks lovely in the bottle.
.
Black Cherry Chutney, a favourite along side My Private Jet, it's black but shot through with red shimmer, and was one of my favourites for winter.
.
What are your favourite OPI colours? I would love to see your collections.

OPI Princesses Rule

I just thought that I would do a quick nail polish post for you. This is the colour that I am sporting this week, it is Princesses Rule by OPI.

I hope you're all having a lovely week so far. I am counting down to the weekend as we speak!

March Favourites

.
Mac Moon River Mineralize Blush. This was limited edition last year sometime and I had severely neglected it but I have rediscovered it this March and love the dewy glow it gives my cheeks, very spring-like. I am sure that you can achieve the same effect with any of the permanent mineralize blushes too, but this is the only one I own.
.
.
Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers. I was never really one to curl my lashes as they were usually quite well-behaved (I am sure that dabbling in eyelash growth products has made them  worse) however I got these for my Birthday last year and have been loving the look that I am getting with them. I use them before I apply mascara for that lovely wide-eyed effect.
.
.
Benefit Cream Shadow in Birthday Suit. I think I've featured this before but I love love love this in colour, consistency and and wear. I have been using this as a base for my powder eyeshadow and they have been lasting much longer than usual.
.
.
Gosh Touch Up Concealer. I don't know what I would have done without this during the month of March. I have bought the colour 2 also because it is a more pinky tone which I think helps to counteract any bluey/purpley under eye circles, so I use that in emergencies but my day to day preference is number 1.
.
.
What have your March favourites been?

Some small OPI purchases

.
I have become more into nail varnishes lately, and in particular OPI. For no particular reason other than that I like the names of the polishes and they look all uniform in my nail drawer (OCD anyone?!) and I also like that they dry pretty quick and for me give the longest lasting polish with no chipping!
.
The colours that I decided on were Russian Navy, Pamplona Purple and You Don't Know Jacques. The main inspiration for these nail colour choices was Blushingpixie from YouTube who I have only just discovered, you can have a look at her channel out here. Her nail polish collection and tutorial were both very helpful in my decision making.
.
.
.
.
I was going to buy the colours from the ebay store that everyone talks about but I like instant gratification and didn't want to have to wait for long for them to arrive so I Googled and found the polishes for £6.97 at Chemist Direct, you can check their website out here. They don't have a full selection of colours but they had the ones I was after!

The next colours I am looking for are quite opaque nudes, if you can recommend any? I already own Coney Island Cotton Candy and Bubble Bath but I was wondering about Dulche de Leche maybe, what are your favourite colours in OPI? Also what do you think of Orly polishes?

Soap & Glory Scrub 'Em and Leave 'Em : Review

.
I am not a massive fan of Soap & Glory products, however, ever one for pretty packaging, I was drawn to the pink tubs and bottles last week in Boots and started to have a browse. The product that caught my eye was their Scrub 'Em and Leave 'Em body scrub.

Oh my god, this stuff is ah-may-zing!  The scent is nice, I don't care for the "traditional" Soap & Glory perfume, but this has notes of bergamot, blackcurrant, magnolia, freesia, vanilla and musk, and apparently is the same scent as Mist You Madly, which I am yet to have tried. The scrub itself contains babassu oil, sea salt and moisturising jojoba and mandarin oils. I prefer a sugar or salt scrub because you don't end up sitting on grains in your bath, the salt or sugar dissolves.
.

The main thing I adore about this scrub is that it gets my skin super super soft. I mean never before has it been this soft! It even completely gets rid of those pesky bumps on the backs of your arms with no fuss and best of all the scrubbys are pink!
.

I cannot stress enough how much I love this scrub. In my bathroom at the moment I have a Boots Naturals scrub and a Philosophy Coconut scrub and the Soap & Glory wins hands down and was only £7.00!

I am intrigued to try some more of their products as I have had such a good experience with this and I also really love their face scrub and serum. What are your favourite S&G products?
