Oh Korres... I am sorry!

"... but I thought you said you didn't like it" - I hear you say. Yes that was true, I completely bashed this product here. But what can I say? I was wrong, so very wrong!

I now absolutely love my Korres Lip Butter. It has become a handbag essential, desk essential, bedside essential and laptop essential. I carry it everywhere with me and I simply cannot be without it.

The moisturisation I get from this is second to none. I love the fact that I am not coating my lips in a slippery layer of petroleum jelly, which I will no doubt ingest! Nope it's just pure lip moisturising goodness.

As you can see I am almost finished with my pot. I am definitely going to repurchase, but this time the infamous Jasmine flavour is on the agenda.

Holiday to Devon

In case anyone is remotely interested in my holiday to Devon this year, or "staycation"! I thought that I would share some photos. They aren't doing much sitting on my laptop so here goes!

.
Me in the good ol' english countryside, with weather to boot. Yes it looks sunny but it really wasn't very warm - hence the scarf!

.
The harbour at Brixham.

.
Brixham Town. Aren't all the houses pretty colours?

.
I LOVED this Jan Constantine cushion. It was a shame that my debit card didn't love the price - £69.00!

Dartmouth. Where we accidentally almost got on the car ferry and I almost had a coronary (I don't like boats!)

Agatha Christie's holiday home. Strict visiting guidelines but so worth a visit is you can.

Me and my mummy!

Neal & Wolf Guard : Review

.
I am pretty sure any girl worth their weight in cosmetics knows that heat protection is one of the most important steps in a haircare regime. Obviously if you're blessed with hair that dries naturally to a perfect wave/curl/straighten'd look not only do I dislike you (I joke, I joke!) but heat protection isn't really much of any concern to you. If you're like me on the other hand and you need a little artificial assistance in the form of a hairdryer, then a heat protector is going to be your holy grail!

The company Neal & Wolf are relativity new to the haircare market, although their creators have around 20 years experience in the haircare industry. Their hypothesis is to give you the ultimate in haircare products but without the salon price tag.
.
.
Guard Heat Protection is a spray product which can be used on both wet/damp or dry hair and comes in a generous 150ml pump dispenser, which mists very nicely. I personally prefer this on dry hair as in my opinion nothing can really better my Redken Satin Wear Blowdry Lotion for my before blowdrying product on wet hair. However, I do really enjoy using this on my second day hair as I have taken to using my Babyliss Conical Waver on my usual straight style to give it a little more life. I spray the Guard all over my hair and also concentrate on the sections to be waved. It gives it amazing shine and keeps my hair healthy and protected. I even think it helps hold the waves in my hair all day!
.
..
One thing I dislike about this product is the scent. It really isn't my cup of tea. It's quite strong and musky but thankfully it doesn't last that long on my hair otherwise I don't think I could bring myself to continue using it as scent is very important to me. If you like a more heady fragrance though you will really like it.

Overall I love the shine it gives to my hair, it feels like it's really protecting my hair as it's in very good condition and the way it holds my style. If it was available in a local drugstore I would definitely repurchase however at the moment you can only buy it online and I just don't think it's that special that I would go out of my way to place an online order for it, that is my only gripe with this product and the scent bothers me a little.
.
The Heat Guard retails at £10.95 and is available online here and here.
