I am not much of a lover of Summer. Yes I love the warmth, but English Summers leave very little to be desired in my opinion, and end up very blah and lacklustre. I much prefer the Autumn and Winter seasons. Probably my first memory when I was little was walking hand in hand with my mum to see the fireworks on Guy Fawkes, and the happy memory has stuck with me ever since. The leaves turning gorgeous amber colours, snuggly hats, scarves and gloves, getting ready for school to start with new stationary (er.. many many moons ago for me!), preparing for the dreaded C word... I could go on!
Anyway, I digress, along with Halloween, Guy Fawkes and the C word (I'm sure there are many people who would not appreciate me mentioning it in full right now!), Autumn / Winter is also the time when, for me, darker nails are much more acceptable and deep purples, reds and pinks resurrect themselves from my cupboard and onto my talons.
I am definitely feeling the urge now for dark nails, in particular when I see the offerings of OPI's new Swiss Collection. The colours that grab my attention are; Cuckoo for this Colour, Ski Teal we Drop and Diva of Geneva. I can't wait to see them in the flesh, as so far I am only going on swatches that I've found online.
This pent up excitement for dark nails and the Swiss Collection made me buy Here Today... Aragon Tomorrow, while I was in Sally's a couple of weeks ago, which is described by OPI as a dark emerald green, the finish is frosted, iridescent with subtle glimmer.
Some of my favourite Autumn / Winter colours for nails are Black Cherry Chutney, Russian Navy, My Private Jet, OPI Red and now obviously Here Today... Aragon Tomorrow!
In the Swiss Collection they also have the most amazing gold shade called Glitzerland. It reminds me of the nails Kourtney Kardashian has been sporting recently. I then suddenly remembered that I think I had a similar colour in my stash, and low and behold...

Champagne by Models Own!
I am loving gold nails, they are stunning, almost like jewellery for the nails. This along with the gorgeous dark colours are definitely what I'll be wearing this autumn. What about you?
