VIDAL SASSOON DAILY HYDRATION DRYER

I was always under the illusion that a hairdryer was just a hairdryer. You know, an essential, nothing to shout about, just did the job. That's all been thrown out the window since trying the Vidal Sassoon Daily Hydration Dryer*. Not only does it dry my hair fantastically fast, it's got 4 times more IONS than your bog-standard hairdyer. This means that my hair feels much healthier, looks shinier and feels less dry after blowdrying. I also love the nifty folding handle which makes for ease of storage and for travelling.

It's got all the usual attributes you'd expect with a hairdryer, 2200 watts, 2 speeds, 2 heat settings and a cool shot. There's also a nozzle for extra sleek drying.

If you're on the look out for a new hairdryer, I would definitely recommend giving this one a go, I'm extremely pleased with it and how it's made my hair look and feel.

MAC HEY, SAILOR! PRO LONGWEAR BRONZING POWDER IN NUDE ON BOARD

MAC's summer collection this year is Hey, Sailor! I was on the lookout for a new bronzer because mine had completely run out. I'm pale and not really a bronzer girl, I find them too ruddy and orange for me. However I was watching the gorgeous Selina's video where she showed this bronzer and I jumped at the chance when Debenhams had 10% off this past Monday. What swung it for me was her comparison to NARS Laguna (which I have never tried). She said that it was like NARS Laguna's younger sister and pretty fool-proof. Being on the paler side I thought that this sounded perfect for me as I don't want to look tangoed, just naturally sunkissed.

Combining comfort, flawless sheer-low transparent coverage and long wear, this is bronze with a fully dimensional yet natural finish. Comes in a nautical blue and white striped compact. Limited edition.

Nude on Nude - bronzy, yellow tone.

This bronzer could not be more perfect for me. It's quite on the yellow side but looks very flattering on, and my skin looks the colour it goes naturally in the sun. It's easy to apply and blends beautifully into my skin. I am really pleased that I went for it.

SHOPPING

Essie Nail Polishes in Guchi Muchi Puchi, Capri and Tangerine | MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Blossom Culture (blogged about here) | YSL Shocking Mascara | Yankee Candle Regular Tumbler in Fluffy Towels | Topshop Knitted Grill Jumper | New Look Pink Sheer Shirt | DC Chelsea Trainer | Matalan Navy Canvas Trainer

These are what I have bought during my week off work. I tried to lay off the makeup and beauty products because I really needed more clothes than anything else but I did need a new mascara and had been wanting to try one of the Sheen Supreme lipsticks for a while now. The Essie wasn't planned but I got a great deal so I can't complain! It's so hard to photograph the clothes, I'm sorry they don't look very inspirational folded! The shoes were must haves, I got the navy first to see if I would get the wear out of them and afterwards decided I needed white ones so went for the DC's which again I got a fab deal on.

I found it hard to find much clothes-wise. Isn't it always the way when you have money burning a hole in your pocket!

APRIL FAVOURITES

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation | MAC Studio Finish Concealer | MAC Prolongwear Concealer | Bobbi Brown Eyebrow Kit | Vidal Sassoon Daily Hydration Hairdryer* | Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil

I have gone back to using NARS Sheer Glow and it has been perfect for my skin. I've noticed a big improvement, I have less dry patches and my skin feels much healthier (not like it's been covered in make-up all day). For me this foundation lasts all day, looks natural and doesn't oxidise or separate. I think it's got something to do with the day cream I've been using it with because when I've worn it with something else it doesn't give the same results. What ever it is, I'm going to continue doing it! The shade I wear is Mont Blanc.

My concealers of choice this month have been MAC Prolongwear topped with MAC Studio Finish. The only area I need to conceal is my undereyes, I have the most terrible dark circles, honestly I see people complaining about their dark circles and you can't even see them! Mine look like I have 2 black eyes - no kidding! This combo works perfectly for me. I find the Studio Finish too cakey on it's own but over Prolongwear it works great. I have two different shades, the Prolongwear is NW20 (warm toned to neutralise the purpley, dark bits) and the Studio Finish is NC15 (to brighten and lighten).

I don't think I've ever spoken about this eyebrow kit before, and it is my absolute holy grail. I have a thing with eyebrows, I am always noticing them on other people and I say "did you see her eyebrows" and friends look at me blankly! What can I say some people notice shoes first, I notice eyebrows! I use an eyebrow stencil that I got from eBay, I use the C2 stencil and it just makes for perfect brows that take no time at all. I use a MAC 224 brush dipped in the lightest shade of the Bobbi Brown palette (which is called Sable) and lightly fluff it over the stencil and that makes for perfect brows! It takes literally seconds and I do it every morning.

I've always been a bit sceptical of hair dryers that boast to be that bit special, I used to think well a hair dryer was just a hair dryer, right? Well wrong! Vidal Sassoon Daily Hydration Hair Dryer* is amazing. Never have I had a hair dryer that dries my hair this fast and this shiny. The heat almost seems gentle, even when I have it on the highest setting. I've really been loving drying my hair this month!

Finally, I did mention this product at the end of March and I wasn't overly enamoured with it, but I have been reaching for it more than my Macadamia Healing Oil and I would definitely repurchase it when I run out. I find that when I use this my hair doesn't tangle so much and when I brush it I have no hair breakage at all. I've gone back to my Macadamia Oil a few times, and I just don't get the same results. This is probably filled with silicones or something but while it makes my hair look shiny, healthy and stops breakage I really am not fussed. After all if it's not breaking then in turn it will be healthier.

MAC SHEEN SUPREME BLOSSOM CULTURE

My first foray into MAC's Sheen Supreme line of lipsticks and I really like the formulation. Blossom Culture was released in a recent collection, don't ask me which because I have no clue! It wasn't out on display in my MAC but I asked for it and it turned out they had loads in the drawers so keep that in mind when something you're after isn't out on display.

It's a peachy, coral pink with a slight pearly tint to it. It's very moisturising and surprisingly lasts a pretty decent time on the lips which is nice. I'll definitely be trying out some more Sheen Supreme colours in the future!

Have you tried any of their Sheen Supremes? What are your favourite shades?
