SATURDAY SHOPPING : REN, THE NIGHT CIRCUS, THIS WORKS, TEA AND BORDER BISCUITS

I've got a horrible cold at the moment (damn you UK weather!) but I needed to pop out today so I wandered down to Tesco to get a few foody bits and picked up while I was there the new Red magazine with free REN goodies including the Vetiver Hand and Body Cream, Active 7 Radiant Eye Gel and Hydra-Calm Global Protection Day Cream. I've used the eye gel before and really liked it so they'll all go in my skincare drawer to be used! I also grabbed a copy of The Night Circus, which I had heard good things about. I wanted something that's a bit less "chick-lit" if you know what I mean, and no I didn't see 50 Shades of Grey - completely sold out! Next good ol' TK Maxx was my destination and I found a This Works Perfect Skin set for only £8.00! I had been eyeing this up last time I was in there but it was around £22.00 and I thought better of it. I'm glad I waited because it was a much lovelier price today. I can't stress how fabulous This Works products are. I have their Active Oil which is absolutely divine and I've had a sample of the Clean Skin cleanser before and that was amazing too.

I'm going to curl up on the sofa now with copious cups of tea and a few of these Border Biscuits and hope that my cold goes away soon.

PS... Don't go to Tesco on a Saturday when you have a horrible cold and your tonsils feel like golf balls because inevitably the most annoying people of the world will be there and you will come out feeling worse than when you went in! On that note I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Oooh one last thing, if you notice I'm not posting so frequently on here, you can follow my Instagram which I am always using, my user name is "shopaholicjo" and there's a handy dandy widget over on the bar to the right (and up a little!) which you can look at if you don't have the Instagram app on your phone.

PRODUCTS I'VE USED UP #4

I'm sorry I haven't blogged for a while. I've been a bit down and have sort of lost my blogging mojo. I hope it returns soon because I do love posting and I also love reading all of your lovely comments. Anyway, I knew I had to post this so it was quite an easy post to compile, June empties! I've been so naughty and have bought quite a lot in the way of beauty products in June *slaps wrist*. I wasn't happy with my hair at the beginning of the month so I bought a load of new hair products, middle of the month it was body bits and towards the end it was skincare. So I have plenty to get through and I'm a little cross with myself for buying new bits. At least with clothes when you get shoppers remorse you can return them (assuming of course you haven't worn them!) alas is not the case with beauty products.

Here's what I've used up (again anything I would repurchase or have repurchased is underlined):-

Johnsons Baby Lotion
Olay Anti-Wrinkle Wet Cleansing Cloths
n-spa Coconut Ice Cream Shower and Bath Gel
Body Shop Blueberry Body Butter
SUPER O-Mega Moisture
Palmolive Pampering Touch Shower Milk
Yardley Peony Luxury Body Wash
No7 Beautiful Skin Eye Makeup Remover
got2be Guardian Angel Heat Protection
TRESemme Superior Hold Hairspray
Boots Vitamin E Facial Cleansing Wipes
Liz Earle Bliss Vital Oils Body Spray
Escada Into The Blue Perfume
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Cream
Clinique Happy Heart Perfume
L'Oreal Elnett Diamond Hold Hairspray
Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Mask
Tesco Sensitive Eye Makeup Remover Pads

So there's quite a lot there this month. As I've mentioned before I do like to switch my products around a lot so please don't think I've used all of the above up from scratch! Some have only had a few uses left in them but it's nice now not to have them hanging around.
